I want a Copperhead Extra Stiffy as my first 3D plane, and as my first electric plane too. I have experience with aerobatic sailplanes, so tell me, what do you think about the extra stiffy as a first 3D plane?

I just made my first flight with the Extra Stiffy today. A word of advice in case you haven't made your first flight yet. Start off with low rates and forward CG as listed in the instruction manual. Keep the airspeed on the low side until you get used to how fast it reacts to control inputs. Needless to say, it reacts much faster than any glider I've ever seen or flown.

I tend to agree, have had my Extra stiffy for a few months now and wow.. it's nothing like a aerobatic slope sailplane... responds much quicker than you might think. KEEP it on low rates for a while, as I flipped it to HIGH rates and OUCH.. not a crash but a very violent reaction at 100% throw.. inlow rates on my JR9303 set at about 35% mid at about 50% and 80% on Hi now.. still way to quick. Great flying plane!
