I would get the Funtana 100x with a O.S 120 AX. you will have unlimmited power. The funtana is a great all around airplane and is very popular. i would go for the Funtana

Blackbird- Your english is fine! Welcome to RCU...
I have never flown the 100 but I would do a search for both airplanes on here and see how folks feel about the performance and value of each... You can also see what engines people are running on each-
I have the Funtana-90 with an OS-1.60FX so naturally the 120 on the Funtana 100 seems small
It may be a great combo though!

I'm voting for you to buy the 100X and keep us up-to-date on your progress, from delivery to maiden voyage! I haven't heard anything good or bad about the 100X yet, but I have owned one of their other planes, (Twist 3D) and I was thoroughly impressed with how easy it went together. Probably the easiest build I've ever experienced, and the plane flew great!
Razor has chosen to over-power his Funtana 90, (although I would argue that he is not over-powering it, simply choosing a set-up that suits his flying style!) which is an option that you can look into with your 100X later on if you find that you need more power.
Good luck, and keep us posted on your decision.

tanks all you for your replies and sorry if i didn`t read them early i wasn`t in home, i will shurely go with the Funtanas i have flown the old .40 version and like it alot because it is agressive with full throws i will wait to much time to complete the plane because i have to wait to have the money for the engine and the rdio equipment but i will shurely post a new threat of the assembly and of curse of the flight performance.
Hey Razor your funtanas must be a rocket with that big engine in front, wath prop do you guys think that would be the best for my engine and also i want to know if i will be well with 61 to 70 oz. in ailerons and elevators and 90 to 100 oz. in the ruder? this is my first
.90 size pplane and i need some sugestions
thanks again for your replies

70 oz servos should be just fine. I'm running the 120AX in a profile at the moment. Wonderful motor. A side benefit is its very cheap to run, since the airplane is overpowered. What I mean is I spend lots of time at low throttle settings so it doesn't use much fuel. I use a 17-6 APC with mine. It turns it fine. Tons of thrust. A lighter wood prop would give better spool up, though.

thanks for your post AeroDave i will use pro zinger wood props and S3010 Futaba servos in all surfaces, do you think that with the 90 degree adaptor i will be able to keep the muffler inside of the cowl without needing to cut to much of it or would be better to buy a pitts muffler?

Sergio,
Good question. I've only used mine in a profile and never put the adaptor on. i would try it first, before buying the pitts muffler. My guess is it will be close enough to look decent.

That profile looks great AeroDave you must have rocketlike pullout at that wieght, i will use the 90 degree adaptor it should fit good inside of the cowl, i hope to have good pullout with that engine in the 100X, i am flying a GP U-CAN-DO with a os surpass 70 and pullout the plane with autority not to slow and not to fast but i would like to have a bit more pullout performance on the 100X

Thanks!
The 91fx is really strong. I have one on my UCD 60 and it has great pullout. And yes, that profile has punishing, crushing, shredding pullout!
