Hi guys,
I have bought a EF Edge 540T, with saito 72, 4 JR 517 servos 1 HS 81, Hitec supreme reciver all installed for $300. (pretty good deal to me, it's flawless never wrecked.) I have been flying for awhile and have been flying a sig fazer with a OS 46 to get me ready for this. Will this be a good plane to fly 3D with? I really want to learn how to get a low soild hover and torque rolls. I can already do many manuvers like inverted flat spins. Will this be easy to learn the 3D manuvers with?

HitecMan... I flew a E.F. 540/ YS 63 awhile back... She'll do all that the newer profiles does..
It'll hover super easy... She's a great profile, back then and even now!! That was the first
profile that I wanted to get, But it was never in stock... So I ended getting a OMP V2, and
just after they started shipping E.F. gets their porfiles in stock.... I'm thinking of getting
one since I dorked my V2.... Just waiting on some cash.....

Mine were just set to hit the stops on all surfaces, with 60 exponential on the ele and ail, and 80 expo on rudder. My rates are set approx 45% for smoother flying

Hitec man,
It sounds like you got a good setup and a great deal! When learning to huck it down low, remember The main key to success is practice. View the aircraft as a tool that serves your flying skills. So for all of us, the real question is how do WE hover, TR, harrier, etc. The EF Edge will do all these moves well. The rest is up to you.
Best of luck,
Dave

HitecMan.... I.m not sure what the man. say's... But I always use dual rates... on maiden
the low rate I set is 30% with about 50-70%expo.... Hi rate is unlimited with max throws..
Then I tune as needed.....
Ohh yes I do... The man. say's to balance 1/4" behind the main spar for the first flight
it also stated after setup their personal favorite CG was 1" behind the spar
Elev. Low rate: 10degs both directions and Hi rate 45.. Ail. Low: 15degs both dir. and
Hi: 35-45 deg. both dir. Rudder: Low 15 deg. both dir. and Hi: as much as possible...
