Default DP Extra weight?

Hi,

Thanks to a fellow club member, I finally have my DP Extra ready to fly, with Laser 240V twin fitted. Both the elevator and ailerons are onn 'Pull-Pull', and the engine only weighs 1160 grams, and yet the plane still weighs in at 14lbs 5 ozs. I was hoping it would come in nearer 13lbs, so am a little disappointed in this regard. I still think it will fly like a dream though, as it is one sexy plane! What does everyone elses DP Extras weigh?

Thanks,

Mike.

Hi SkyPilot,

I have flown the plane a few times now, but it has it's flaws. It flies around ok, and lands ok, but needs a pile of elavator when in knife edge. I am hoping that I can iron some of ity out, but so far, it isn't the favourite plane in my collection that I thought it would be

Mike have you checked your cg?

Try to contact DP and see what he has to say.

How does the Laser like running mounted inverted?
