QQ's 85" Yak ROCKS

Yes, I am a fan boy - I have the 85", building the 102" and the QQ E-Yak 54.

Not sure there's a best because I'm sure there are many that are very good at different things.

I just purchased my first 30% gasser and first decided on which airframe I liked the best just from looks. The Edge was the winner for me so then I started looking at the manufacturers of 30% Edge's such as WildHare, BME, and such.

I then spent several hours researching them on RCU and watched a great thread on the BME Edge and felt that everyone really like it and purchased one. Now is it the best. I have no clue, but it's the one I bought and I love it.

Good Luck

you can't get much better than a QQ YAK, thiers not to many that you can build at 15 lbs. or just under, as long as you don't put to many bells and whistles on it.
ENJOY!

QQ Yak or CHP Vision.

Should we go ahead and list all the other "best" gear to finish out the plane?

DA 50, unless the BME 55 ever shows.

DS8611's all the way around.

Fromco's

SWB 1.5 arms

CHP control horns

CF rods from Caddy

Pete's CF spinner

No Vess prop available yet, CHP 22-10 until broken in then try a 23.

Velcro

12 oz, 3D tank.

Sulivan skylite foam wheels

Any of the foam pilots from AI.

Thumbs by YNOT.

CF wing tube and gear from DP.

Your choice on Transmixer, I fly a 9Z, however who by a 10X, if I were to buy one today.

Here's the link. I have no experience with the plane but it does appear to be one of the best from what everybody says.

Thanks

I'll agree on the QQ Yak. Mine has the DA50 in it, and it is a very capable plane. Tracks beautifully, has very little coupling, and just generally flies great. The motor is still being broken in, but it still has unlimited vertical at less than half throttle. Full throttle is ballistic straight up.
