Default YS 45 vs Os 61 Fx

I just got a flip 3d for Christmas and was wondering if i should put a YS 45 in it or an Os 61 fx and what prop? I have both engines laying around.

Thanks
Chris

Whichever one is lighter. My vote obviously goes with the YS.

Default Flip

I have a OS50 and it makes it ROCK!

Have a Madness with the YS45 and the 50 has substantially more power. The YS would allow for mounting the tank way back in the fuse. The 50's power more than makes up for it.

I have a 61 FSR, and it weighs allot more than the 50. CPLR flys his with a OS46, and that is the motor it was designed around, so the 50 gives it the extra boost.

Nah, he flies with either a YS 45, or 63. Remember, he is sponsered by YS. I think I'll use an Irvine 53, with more power (I hope!)

No way, I have a 53 and it just ROCKS in power, same mounting size as a 46FX, a shade heavier, but tons more ooomph.

I torque rolled a buddy's heavy Easy Sport with a Irvine 53 was just a hair under full throttle but strong engine.

I don't know exact weight but definitely felt heavy in the air and especially for landing.

Hey robert, does the Irvine engine have the same muffler mount as a .46 fx ? Does anyone know where to get one in the US?

Default Yup

Irivne 53 is the same as the 46FX and TT Pro-46 thus the Tower/Pitts and UT mufflers will fit-

The Irvine has tons of power!
