Need help with finding carbon fiber landing gear for this plane or anything better than what comes with the kit.

I'm planning on using 1/4 piano wire to reinforce my landing gear on that plane. B&B Specialties have the standoffs you need to set this up:

LANDING GEAR REINFORCEMENT STANDOFFS

Our L.G.R.S. provides you with an excellent way to beef up your landing gear. They come in a package of 4 with self-locking nuts. We have found them useful on many of the Giant Scale Models. The sheet metal landing gears found in many kits are simply inadequate for rough landings. You are constantly rebending and straightening. Our standoffs are easy to install on the strut. A length of 3/16" or 1/4" diameter music wire (not furnished) is required. Painting the reinforcement standoffs and wire the color of the strut will help hide them. We have hardened Wheel Axles, Wheel Collar Pants Mounts, and Wheels to complete your landing gear requirements.

Specify 3/16" OR 1/4" SIZE $8.95

Pretty lame landing gear that comes with the model, that's for
sure. Anyways, I replaced mine with a first-class gear made by
TNT. Contact them, they already have the size on file; they use
aircraft grade aluminum.

Hi,
What size prop are you planning on running? I'd like to turn an 18-6. Do you think the TNT gear would allow this? Sounds like the original is trash. I'll get my UCANDO today and start making lists.

Thanks,

Joe

I use a 16X4 prop on OS91FS; ground clearance is 5 inches
with the TNT landing gear. The TNT Landing Gear Products, Ltd
address is: 10530 Airport Hwy; Swanton, Oh 43558. sorry, I
don't have their phone number handy.

The 4 star 120 gear looks big but might clear the 18" prop. http://www.tntlandinggear.com/store/...nding_gear.htm
