Got a DA 150 in a 40% 3W extra 330.
Weighs 37.5 pounds dry. Flying at about 650 feet above sea level.
Prop is Air Models 32-11 sold by DA
The prop has great acceleration, good pull in the verticals.
Tried a 3W 31.5 - 8/14 prop from Aircraft International.
Got better static thrust (50 lbs versus 46 lbs for the Airmodels 32-11) but didn't seem to rev (accelerate) as fast.
3W prop had noticeably better braking at idle on the downlines.
Both props will allow the engine to "rap up" (over-rev). Gotta watch that.
I'm back to the Air Models 32-11. Seems to work the best for 3D. It ought to work on a 3W 150 ?
Haven't heard much about the new Vess A/B/C props on 150s ?
