Hey guys, does anyone have any recordings of stock, or only slightly modified(ex. control deflection, CG) planes doing some of the named 3D maneuvers(waterfall, elevator, harrier, blender, etc.)? I simply cannot get the planes to do these things. However, I can get it to do some pretty neat tumble stuff, but I am basically flopping the controls randomly. I have some good explanations on how they are supposed to be performed(from horizonbobby), and I have add-ons 3,4 so I have some pretty good planes. But, still, the only thing I can do is torque roll and "floppy stuff"(technical name). Most of the 3D recordings from the realflight site is of the more "floppy" variety, and not the named maneuvers. Thanks guys
3D Neophyte,
Philip
P.S. I have download the super modified planes from www.realflight.com, and have more success with these, but I feel that these planes are too unrealistic to provide any real learning(but they are mucho fun!).

I am using the USB interlink controller. The program doesn't have support for regular joysticks. You would have to do some major tweaking(if possible) to get one to work.

We are using our 10X for G2. It gives you a better feel for the plane. I don't really know of any stock plane that will hover, tr, harrier, wall ect.... but I do know that the Cap 232 TOC version does them. You can dounlload this plane from the Realfligt web site.

Now, these planes arent going to Wall, or Harrier but they will hover and TR all day.

Can I try one?
Here is the stock Extra 330L...No mods! I really like this plane for practice torque rolls and high alpha rolling circles, but it's not too good for anything else! It needs A LOT of mods to fly like it should.
Any of the stock G2 planes will hover and do it pretty easily as long as they have enough power. I have downloaded tons of airplanes and have never found one that would torque roll, harrier, and snap well...You only get a little bit in each airplane...The TOC Cap is just crazy. If you try and put in specs from your airplane, the G2 plane ends up flyng in a completely different way...I still love it though!

All of the stock aerobatic planes seem to torque roll pretty good, except the Giles, I can't get to to torque roll for sh*t. Is it really that hard?
What is everyones favorite field? I find that good old 'Fun Fly' is the one I fly at the most(almost exclusively).
Regards,
Philip

if anyone wants a really cool field go to my website and download it from my realflight download page.. its a HUGE field with like 7 diffrent runways and all kinds of details.. they are zipped so it takes like 3 seconds.. big file and takes a few seconds to load but it is worth it..

Now the Giles, that is one BAD flying airplane! Even in the game it is a bad flying plane. It does spin well though! I can't even get it straight vertical, let alone hover it...
FlipM, if that really is the stock Giles you're pretty dang good! I did notice that your holding a lot of right rudder the whole time...
Time to go play...

Of course it's stock. The heavy right rudder use is essential for locking the TR in and brininging the thing down. To be honest once you get it low and locked in it can TR hands off like all the other G2 planes the only difference is how hard it is to bring down and under control. It has a particularly nasty way of falling out thats almost impossible to counter so you have to anticipate it. Beyond that the plane is awful and feels like it weighs 500 virtual pounds - I think it's the only plane in G2 that actually hates to fly. But does it ever spin fast and look cool.
