Flat spins

Hi all.
Im a newbee to the flying world and enjoy spending time on the sim. how does one get into a slat spin im using the su-26 plane and cant get into a flat spin. is it all rudder contorl with cross ailoron to attemp to keep it flat? pleae walk me trough it

Start by pulling the throttle to idle and increase nose up attitude as required to hold altitude. Keep up elevator through the point of stall then put in full rudder. Once the plane is in the flat spin, you can experiment with adding more or less elevator, throttle and possibly some oppisite aileron to make the spin flatter. To recover, set the sticks back to neutral, keep wings level, let the nose drop enough to gain airspeed then pull up into level flight. If the plane does not come out of the spin with neutral rudder, add opposite rudder until spin stops and recover as explained above.

Thank you very much i was able to do it with the "extra special" plane found in real flight the original version i have been anable to do this with the su-26 but am happy i could pull it off on a sim

One thing too is you have to have the plane set up right. It has to be a bit tail heavy to get it to spin good. I set them up to fly almost level when inverted. Just a bit of down elevator. The flat spin is kinda easy. Make sure you come out just a bit early. I flat spun my 4*60 right into the earth!! I pulled out just a bit too late!!

My Feedback: (1)
I make a smooth easy transition into an upright flat spin on AFPD (simulator) and at the field, starting with the plane climbing at 45 to 60 deg at half throttle, apply full left rudder and full up elevator, then as much right aileron as it will take without rolling out. Add more throttle if needed. The plane will go into an upright spin without ever having the nose drop below level.
For an inverted spin I climb inverted , 45 deg, half throttle or so, apply right rudder , down elevator, feed in right aileron (too much will roll it out) add throttle as desired(too much will roll out).
I do this about every time I fly. My Burrito and Mojo 60 will rise slowly in a spin if I add the right amount of power. I fly both planes with the cg aft far enough to fly hands off inverted but they will spin with the cg farther fwd than that.
