I recently purchased a diablic 3D aircraft, its a chekoslavakian model made by top models. I have a super tiger .61 laying around. would this engine be a good match? and, what propeller and what type of muffler should i put on it? the super tiger is already broken in well. i bought a hitech metal geared high torqe servo for the elevator, (its got about 120 oz of torque) and then i bought 3 hitech 635hb servos for the rudder and wings. (i think thats the right model number, their carbonite gears each with about 72 oz of torqe in them) anyway, does this set up sound like a winner? also, would it be worth installing a gyro to do 3D hovering with?? and, how does the whole gyro system work?? i was talking with a guy about it at the hobby shop and he was telling me that it will hover on its own. thanks for any help and any responses!!

I have a Diabolic, 5 years. The 61 2c will be fine. Use a 4 pitch prop, NO higher. You will need to fly this plane slow. Mine had a OS 91 4C surpass, I just changed it out to a YS 110 with a 17 x 4 APC prop. You should be able to mount the engine on a angle (side but low) so the muffler will sit on the center line of the bottom of the cowl. Go to Esprit Model web site and look at the pictures of the plane. espritmodel.com
also Model Airplane News had a review in May 2003 with a OS 61 inverted and stock muffler out the side. 14 x 4 Zinger prob
