is a super tiger 2300 too heavy for a showtime.
i can get a new one real cheap right now and will if it will fit this plane.
it will be more of an aerobatic plane than a 3d plane..
also was gonna get the JR 120 airpack for it as far as elecs.
any help will be great.

Should be fine, kinda funny flight characteristics though...flight pack will be fine for this size plane. I use it myself and have no issues; although I did hear of some people having servo issues (I believe it was a bad batch of servos that got thru).
Do a search in this forum for YNOTs' thread(and video) of his showtime/os 160 combo...

It would be better if u watched his video....but you could tell it was too heavy. At times it looked like it flew nose heavy...other times it looked like it flew tail heavy (same flight). The only thing I liked was his vertical (ballistic...shot off like a rocket). I'm sure he felt different, you may want to pm him.
Personally I prefer lighter planes over the heavy overpowered ones. My skills are getting to the point I can perform pretty good with the lighter setup, don't need the "supposedly" safety factor of having a lot of pullout power just in case I get in trouble (never bought that idea anyway). I still prefer the ys110/saito 125 setups for this plane...

I believe it would be too heavy. I set one up for a friend using piped o.s. .91 fx. it required no additional weight for balancing and it flies great and lands at walking speed here in colorado at 5300' asl. the piped .91 also provides unlimited vertical
