Default TT 61 Pro needs 3D scale plane.

Being as how you are way ahead of us here in the UK with 3D stuff I thought I'd ask you.......

Got a brand new Thunder Tiger 61 Pro lying idle. What 3D capable scale kit/artf do you guys recommend for it?

I love to hover so...

Default That's a tough one.

This is a tough one since you want scale. As you know the larger they are, the easier they 3-D. However, I've heard that the Great Planes .40 size cap 232 and the World Models .30 size extra are capable.

the great plane cap will 3d but it has a very weak landing gear area. the standard servo for the wings is one. i would do 2 so as to be able to mix other things in. the elevators were on a rod which leaves a lot to be desired. you may could do some mini and leave that problem behind you. I ran mine on a satio 91. the rudder on the gp cap is huge almost as big as the sig 1/4 scale 231 cap.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll check out the specs of both the models you mention. All that botheres me is that the TT 61 is one big lump of metal. It weighs in at a little over 1 pound 10 ounces. Do we think thats a bit much for a .40 - .46 powered ship? Or can these planes live with the extra weight and still 3D?

of the two you mentioned the h-9 540 hands down as the cap has some weak areas unless you do some work then its still just smaller. i had 2 of the h-9 edges one with a satio 180 the other with a zdz 40 now gas is a sweet option.....
