Its pretty good. Great is a stretch.
AW Yak, QQ Yak, EF yak, PA Edge are Great.
If you put it on a diet it will fly better. If you really CF it up you can get to great status.

Hi M64,
I presume you are talking about the new model? I have one of these (red/white/blue) with a 3W 56iB2 Twin in it, and it is just an incredible plane! I am not the best 3D flyer by any means, as am just trying hard to learn. I have a DP Extra, X-Tech Giles, Funtana 40, EF Yak 47", PA Mini Katana, and have to say that the WH Extra is by far the easiest to hover that I have had to date... by a long way! It also pulls an awesome wall (DP Extra won't for me), and is just lovely in high alpha flight... rock steady! Four of my flying friends also bought the same plane (mine was second in the air). Hovering was strange at first, as the rudder and elevator are so effective, that on pulling into a hover, I was over-compensating until she was hung there properly. Now, I get on fine though. When in a hover, she will virtually sit their on her own with just aileron input. Check out my mate Lee McCrory's vids on Flying Giants. I took the pics of his red/black/yellow one that I have attached. The red/white/blue one is mine. Lee reckons this is by far the best plane he has ever had. He is an ace flyer, I have to say! He also has the PA Edge, and reckons the WH Extra is way better. You can see vids of his PA Edge on the FG site too.
You need one now!
Mike.

Forgot this pic... And, yes, it is real!
Lee was flying, though you can't see his aerial. You can see that where he had his hand on the canopy, his index finger actually pressed right into it.

Hi M64,
Mine (Red/white/blue) has the 3w 56iB2 twin on two canisters, and Lee's has a DA 50 with Pitts style muffler. Lee reckons mine has much more pullout power than his. Have to say, that hover is around half throttle, with absolutely ballistic pullout! Flew again today (only one flight, and total of about 6 or 7 to date). Incredible plane! I am a cr@p 3D'er, but managed to tailslide it around 20 ft into a low hover (never done before, except on shokkie). Also had the rudder on the ground in a hover! Seems that once sat perfect in a hover, she just sits there almost on her own, with just aileron input! Harriers are awesome! Most of the flight was upright harriers, or hovering. Did one, dragging the rudder along the ground... easy! Makes even me look good!
Mike.
P.S... on the pics I posted previously, there is one of Lee hitting himself around the head with the elevator! It was pretty breezy, and he was leaning into the wind hovering. When he pulled out, the wind pashed the tail to one side, hitting Lee, and knocking his hat off!

Well guys, smashed the Extra up today, Big Time!!! I needed to get out flying, and pushed things further thaan my capabilities! Good news however, is that Probuild had another in stock, so is all ordered, and taken care of!
Have to say though... had so much pleasure from the single 15 minute flight I had today with this plane, that I have no regrets in buying another!

thats nasty!!!!!!
Here in South Africa the extra is so much more expensive than in USA.
It really sucks.
A guy at my club got a dead stick on a 80cc giles and the wind took over... no serious damage though... he says that he is almost finished the repairs.
if you would like go to our website www.caperadioflyers.co.za very interesting
