Alan, what electric is that. I think we're all interested in a good 3D'able electric.

Thanks Guys,

It is (I mean was) a cool littly toy. There are a few different (cheap GWS, not brushless) power setups and a report as well as plans on the link below. The only downide with it (in my vertion anyway) is that it does not fly well inverted you can do inverted low curcuits but it is not much fun. It does do great rudder turns almost on the spot!

The designer of ther edge has another design called a 3Demon that looks even better, it's kinda a Pattern/3D plane. Not yet flown though. Heres the link:

There are many others just look roung the Ezone in foamys section, Parkflyers, Sports planes and Indoor.

Hope that helps you guys.

Glad to have helped TailSpnr,

Oh, everyone going on the first link watch out, its long.

But if you go into the indoor section on the Ezone, its no where near as long as the "Ultimate indoor 3D" thread which would take days to read (no really it would)! That one is about a delta plane which apparently flys very well and prophangs in you living room.

Default Here is mine...

This is my scratch-built 80" Somethin' Extra. It took me a year to build it - I used a lot of carbon fiber to keep it light. All up weight is 13 pounds!

It's powered by a Saito 180 with a Perry pump. To me, being able to fly 3D means flying SLOW. And this plane will fly VERY slow. In a slight breeze I can fly it slower than my GWS Tiger Moth

Take-Off roll is about 15 feet and it'll climb verticle on 1/3 throttle. It does great waterfalls, flat spins, walls, torque rolls, elevators (wings rock a bit, though), Harrier landings and tumbles. I haven't had the nerve to try a Blender yet - I think something might break

Default POst a picture of your 3d airplane

this is my Ohio Model Plane's Profile Edge 540. This plane is amazing to say the least. I flew UCD's, Something extra's, Flips, Pizzazz's, Magic and Magic Xtra's and they fall far short of this plane. It weighs in at 3 pounds 9 ounces and is powered by a Pico 45. it has a 44" wingspan and over 700 sq. in. of wing area, plus it has 5 1/2 in wide ailerons taht taper to 4 inches. about 7 inches wide of rudder at the widest part and about 5 1/2 inches of elevator. I tried and tried to hover with alot of other planes and had NO LUCK. on my first flight I was doing 2 full torgue rolls and hovers at 1/4 throttle or less with the 12.25 X 3.75 prop. Check out the site http://www.ohiomodelplanes.com He has several mpegs to watch and it is a great plane. It is a kit though with a built up fuse and everything hidden other than the two servos in the rear.

SWEET plane.

Default POst a picture of your 3d airplane

For some reason I have a problem loading the fifth page of this thread. Well at least the images of the planes? Every time I try to load it my computer hangs up for a long time and the pictures never load. Somthing must have been posted that is causing my PC to get funky. Anyone else have this problem?

Default Me also

The page seems to load through post # 88, then everything else is hung. Then I continue to be unable to display objects and pictures on other threads until I log out, clear my cache, then log back in. It was not doing this before I loaded my image of the Flip yesterday. I tried deleting the image, but it still did it without my image on the page. My same image loads fine in another thread (the one referenced). I am sending this to the administrator for investigation.
