Default Extra 330 .60-.90

I'm thinking of picking up one of the pheniox model extras,Looks like a good looking plane. I had a chance to make a few laps with a 87 inch 330. It was nice, out of my price range though. I was wondering if this plane could be powered by a saito .72 i have on the shelf, Or would i need something bigger? I'm not a real 3D type of guy, but i like to go out an let a plane chase its tail from time to time. an also does this plane have the huge control surfaces like the funtanas do?.......Thanks in advance

you do not want to fly a 60-90 sized plane with a Saito 72 unless the plane weighs no more than 6 lbs! You need something bigger, get a nice 90 sized 2C like the ASP, its cheap and good.

I ve got one but with a 91 4 stroke would sy if you like speed your motor is to small - the control surfaces is not oversized but it rolls + do good aerobatics + like to have a bit of airspeed if you whant bigger surfaces rhater go for extra 330 90 size but you stil gonna need a bigger motor would say 4 s at least saito 100 - my brother has got one and it is very good

Hi

I have flown one with a 91FX 2-Stroke on it.... Good power for aerobatics, Although it hovers at about 85% throttle with a 15x4 APC. I have a 120AX on my WM Extra 330 same specs -- that bird really rocks. If you can try and put a 120AX on this model and you will have fun both pattern as well as 3D.

Cheers
