Default Midwest Extra 300XS engine recommendation

Hi folks,

Any recommendations for an engine for the MIdwest Extra 300XS? I am thinking maybe gas over a glow engine. What will be the best engine combo for 3-D?

Thanks

A BME-50 should be the ticket.

These models are known to come out on the heavy side. If you're skill is as such that you are confident that you can will build lite, a 40cc class gas engine will work.

For all out 3D performance a 50cc class engine is the ticket...

Definitely go with gas on this model if you're looking for advanced aerobatics and 3D. The Moki 2.1 will do the job for basic aerobatics, however they are as heavy and consume nearly twice the fuel of a gasserwith considerable less performance.

The three best choices IMO are the BME 50/2.9, Taurus 52/3.2 or the ZDZ 40. The ZDZ 60 is a consideration however it weighs up a pound heavier than the others mentioned.

Have Fun
