Default Low wing model- can it do 3D well?

Hi all!!!

I just assembled my new Extra 330L, designed and made by one guy form Poland.
Data:
wingspan 166 cm (65 in)
lenght 140 cm (55 in)
wing area 42 sq dm (651 sq in)
wieght AUW 2600 gr (5,7 pounds) AUW
engine Magnum 91 fs

For me everything looks great but i'm not sure if low wings will not make any damage to 3D performance of this model.

What are your opinions?

I'd say with the weight and the size of the motor you'll have plenty of vertical performance, the control surfaces look big enough. the next step is to fly it and see how it does. See if it will do a wall without snapping out. See if it will handle a harrier or high alpha without sever wing rocking.

Good-Luck

looks fine to me. Caps have low wings and they 3D about the best. Only thing is you may get pitching in knife edge, but nothing out of the ordinary. Let is know how you get on. Ian

I maidened it today. Unfortunately it was very windy- about 20 mph. So i can only say it flies Rolls ale fast, rudder has a lot of authority, only i have to mix a little of up elevator cause it escapes to belly. I couldnt comfortable try to hover, rolling rarrier and harrier, but it does wall perfect, no wing drop at all.
Thats all for 2day, maybe tommorrow will be a better weather.

Cheers!!!
