Default Question on hovering

Hi all, I'm just starting with 3D and have the following question about hovering. I can get the plane into a hover but it seems it wants to rotate to the left from the torque. I give full right aileron and it still goes left. Not sure how to overcome this or am I not doing something I should be???

Plane:
Funtana X100
YS 110
APC 16x6

Thanks

I am assuming its the funtana x100. If it is you just need more throw on the ailerons to keep the plane from torque rolling.

Tork rolling is normal while in hover but if you are just starting, I would go to a 16X4 or 17X4 prop. 4 pitch props rotate straight on its axis while 6 pitch rotates outside of a straight virticle hover. Also called adverse yaw. So if you keep an angle (just outside of a virticle hover) with the 16X6 it will not tork roll. Hope I explained that right!

Sorry about that..... Funtana X100

What would be the difference between the 16x4 and 17x4. I know I'll lose a lot of forward speed with the smaller pitch props.

As far as my flying style, its precision IMAC. Just getting into the 3D aspect of things.

Thanks

I prefer torque rolling rather than hovering so I use the Low pitch props and on my planes it makes it tork roll quicker than say a 6 degree pitch prop.

Dont be sorry, you posted what you have! The FX100 is not made for speed but it will do it. The 16X4 will slow it down but has more thrust. And you will feel more locked- in at hover. Practice knife edge and harries in all directions. Then hovering will become easier.

Thats one thing I love about this plane, you can fly it fast - at least as fast as the 16x6 will fly it...

Thanks again,
