Default Good Fun Fly

Hi guys.
I am looking for a cheap, 30-50 sized fun-fly. Which one should I get just as a cheap, easy to repair knockaround? Are TT engines any good?
Thanks

Jam - try the Phoenix Fun Star ... will be very happy with the TT46, TT engines are nice. Treat them well and they will serve you for a long time, don't abuse them!

Some of the cheaper TTs have the old style "air bleed" carbs. They run ok but do not pick up as good as a well tuned twin needle carbed motor.

Modeltech Magic is pretty good too. It can use a smaller motor than the Funstar - Both are excellent planes, it just depends on what size your engine is.

I had a twist and loved it. But if you want all out 3D in a 40 size plane I would go with a profile. I could suggest the MOJO. It is lightweight and will 3D awesome with a 46 AX or even better with a 55 AX.

By 3d I dont mean a proper 3d plane, just a fun-fly type model with a wing and a square fuse type thing, like a Magic, Cougar etc.

I had a Magic fun fly... One of the funnest planse I have owned, TT46 is what I had on it. I also had a Twist, The Magic will fly circles around it! Best plane for the buck and it's great for learning 3-D.

The UCD46 is a great plane for this sizs. Flys good with a OS55 2 stroke or Saito 82 4 stroke. Easy to build and fun to fly. I think with all the discounts from Tower you are at about $129 shipped.

Sig Mayhem 40 is another on that would be great. But, it's a little more money than the others.

Thanks
Barry
