Default Concensus on strong, small/light servos?

For 25 to 60-sized airplanes, I've used all sorts of servos from Hitec 225s, 605s, 300s, Futaba 148s, etc. I'm looking for a strong, lightweight, good-centering servo. The Hitec 225 MGs are ok, but their centering isn't great. Without spending 50 dollars on HS-5245MGs (digital mini), can anyone recommend a solid small servo for 3D planes?

I'm just not crazy about the 225 MGs and their centering issues. Otherwise, they're great.

Yours,
Juhan

Hi,
Try either a Futaba S9001 (I Use it on my Caps Ailerons with great success...30% scale) or a S9202 which is similar but more torque.

JR 9411 or 3421 depending on torque desired.

What about MPI servo's for the same price of a fut 9001 you can get an MPI Coreless with 100 oz torq. and .08 sec. speed which is about double the Torq and speed of the others for the same price.

Note though the Fut 9001'a and MPI ? are regular size.

Anyone used these MPI's and how were they?

Thank's Dennis

The Futaba 9001 and 9202 aren't exactly small, light weight servos. And for the same price as the 9001s, I could pick up Hitec mini digitals (hs-5245s)... which are only 1.12 ounces and faster than then 9001s.

Mmmm,
Juhan
