Couple of people asked me to post my experiences with the New Weston Hype 3D Original. Its not quiet ready for a test flight yet, construction so far has been dead easy with all parts fitting well.
The pics show the quality of the finish (match up of cowl, and wish I could cover like this!)
Elevator/Rudder controls are push/pull. Thought this would be a pain to fit, but found it relatively painless using a long piece of piano wire with a hook bent on the end to feed the wires through the formers.
Motor and pipe is the recomended West .50T1 and Genesis throttle pipe.
Will post some finished flying pics/movies

Arnie - Either you've made a damn good of cutting the cowl or it was done already ?
Is the tray fastened to the underside of the wing in the same way or has this changed ? Mine didn't match up that well and it was fairly flimsy.
Where are you putting your nicad ? On mine I put it behind the first tail former, just behind the wing TE. Had to take off the tail covering to put it in of course.
Good luck with the maiden flight mate.

Ditchit, It comes with a clear plastic extras cowl to aid cutting the main one - makes it pretty easy. The exhuast cut out was just a bloody good guess!!
The belly pan shape fitted the wing perfectly. I just removed the film and stuck it on with thick Cyano. Dont know about the balance as I havent got that far yet....I'm hoping Sunday for a maiden flight.

..or if you want a model that flies 'better' than the hype for less money get the global freestyle 3d.
Not as wild as the hype, but its the most true flying model of this kind i have ever come across.. really pleased with mine.
£130.
If i get to see the hype-o up close then i might consider buying one. Let us know if they fly any different please... whats the weight comparison?

Wow, I am really thinking of the new and improved Hype. It looks great in the pics, and would be excellent to learn some of the stranger moves. What price is it BTW?
