Anyone using an RCV engine? Whats the general concensus on them.

The older ones, RCV60 and 120, were a little unreliable but the new ones, RCV90 and the new 58CD are a vast improvement, they are slightly better on power but a hell of alot better in reliability.


I've got the 58 on a modeltech Magic. It was one of the prototypes, runs well, hanging and torque rolling no probs.

I've torque rolled a mates Modeltech Cub (72"span I think) with the 90 on the front quite easily......I mean that in power, not flying, there a ***** to hover!!!!!

they look nice..i wouldnt mind rying one but they are expensive$$$$$

In the manufacturer support section, they say to go easy on it, not to over heat it.....

Power to Weight ratio who would win a normal 4banger or an rcv?
