It was filmed at a few different uk airshows.
Its a big file, but is pretty good.

The electric looked like it was cool but I will still stick to glow power. I like the sound of cranking up a glow motor as apposed to hearing an electric motor. I love my magic.

"Did anyone check out the electric Magic? If so, what did you think?"
Yep. Looks great. I have had my plastic out a couple of times ready to order the necessary parts, but put it away each time. Maybe when uncle Sam sends my refund check ;-).
Seriously, I believe the number of airplanes/helicopers using electric power is going to grow. More and more flying sites are being lost because of noise, and electric will cure this. No matter how much I clean my glow powered models, they still drip oil! Electric will cure this. With LiPoly battery packs, they now have at least equal, and it appears in some cases more, power to weight than glow. The one remaining problem that I see at this time is charging! Even with the best chargers, it takes an hour or so to recharge battery packs (when allowing for cool-down time). With the new LiPoly packs, the time will probably double or triple. When this problem is solved, I will be right in there e-flying away!

Electrics are definitely getting better, but it's very expensive for the high end stuff like brushless motors and lithium polymer batteries. Hopefully these things will get cheaper down the road. The electric system in that Magic costs $400 I believe, versus $50 for a TT GP 42. Or $110 for a Webra 32. That's a huge difference.

WADE, yes, but what about the messy fuel, residue, grease, NOISE, electric started needed, glow plugs, batt to start the starter, charger just to charge the batt, and did I mention NOISE? You can't just go to a park and fly, can you! Electric, yes. Anyway, caould anyone recomend me an electric setup that will give unlimited vertical? I want the cheapest possible, and I can think of a few combos:
Hacker
Phasor 45/3
MaxCim
Mega 22 series
Astro flight cobalt 40
I'm leaning toward the phasor, at only $150, ESC another $70.
What do you guys say?
Thanx!

P-Calc says that:
15 x 6 Sanyo 1700SCR
APC 19x8
2:1 gb
Jeti Phasor 45/3
Gives 80oz of static thrust at 25A! This might be off, but not enough to not make it vertical!
Maybe go down to the 30/3
