Hi all,
just brought a Weston Couger Kit and was wondering what IC engine would be best in it.
My club restrictions are below 82db and 10,000 rpm.
Any help would be usefull

Hmmm...others would chime in about the engine...but that restriction is going to be hard to meet....
depending on how it is measured...
exactly how do they measure it??

Hi
the BMFA recommended method is at a distance of 7meters the noise of the plane is measured from different angles to obtain the highest reading.
This is done outside using a sound meter.

get the west 36 and a 11x4, its fairly quiet (most noise is from drumming on the covering) and the power is ballistic! i had an irvine 36 on mine, and my friend had a west 36, no comparison!
