Default UCanDo 3D Prop Size With .55 AX

What size prop would you recommend for 3d flying with a .55 AX motor on a UCanDo (size 46)? O.S's website recommends a 12-7 to 12-8 or 13-6 to 13-7. Based on this I speculated that a 14-4 or 14-5 would work best and was under the impression that with a two stroke I wanted to stray away from a wide blade prop. Is this true? What would be your recommendations?

Thanks in advance,

Michael

Try an APC 13x4. I'm using one and it seems to work fine.

Yup APC 13 x 4 W should do the job. Make sure you get the WIDE variant.

That would be my guess too. Or you could try the 13x4 in a Zinger prop.

Do you think a 14-4w would be too much? I assumed it would have no more load than the recommended 13-7, is that wrong?

Thanks,

Michael

You could try the 14x4 just to see what it does. The 13x4 on mine will take my OMP Edge-540 straight up until it's almost out of sight and hovers are great too.

13x4w would be the biggest I would run. 14x4w is .82 4 stroke sized!
