I aquired a nice Midwest Cap and the P.O. has the CG @ 7" from the leading edge. It's about an inch aft of recommended (or so I've read). Is anyone else flying theirs at this CG?

The CG is at the middle/aft of the main spar. ( 6.75" to 7'') Much farther and you will be in trobble. I flew mine at 7.5'' (for the leading edge @ root) and it started becoming harry

Thanks, Ryan and Wingwiz. 6-1/4" is the aft rec. and 3/4" behind the rear edge of the spar. So, 7" is 3/4" aft of that. I usually have my CG aft (where it's supposed to be) of mfr's and most people. I like it to be hands off inverted. Sounds like it will fly at 7" but that's about 1.5" behind the spar. Anyone else?

Has anyone tried applying the Palos club CG calculator, found at <www.palosrc.com/instructors/cg.htm>?
