Well, the title doesn't really give too much info....but, it explains my predicament. I was so happy with my choice in planes/engines for now...a magnum70/kyosho spit & magnum91/showtime. I had a TH engine and (i'm not gonna start a fight, but...) I wasn't happy with it. So I swore I'd only get name-brand & proven engines. So, on my 3d plane...I'd like a 100% reliable (and powerful) engine so I can do those pretty low-level hovers and torque rolls. I had a Funtana X 50 w/ an OS 55AX on it, but it didn't have enough power (or reliability due to the pitts mufflers i used, all used) to do that with. I'm by no means a good 3D pilot, but I'm okay enough. I also do not want a profile (it just doesn't look like a real plane to me). I decided on a Saito 91, but decided to chip-in a bit more and get the 100. So, I had decided Saito FA100 with the Showtime 50. KE and hovering is my fav, so i decided against the FX50 again. I also want something that'll carry me a bit farther than just VERY basic 3D.
I've decided to go with the Saito 100, but am looking for a 3D plane with good KE characteristics. I haven't bought it yet, so if a Saito 82 (for example) would do better b/c of wingloading or whatever...please recommend anyway. But, looks like one of the Fliton Planes (extra, edge or inspire 60) or the Showtime 50. I'm also thinking of the Aeroworks Edge. Opinions welcome!!!!
(edit: Unfortunately, I don't have the time or space to build a kit...So I'm definitely set on an ARF for now)

The kangke fun 50 is a great airplane, my sone has flown one two years. The landing gear is crap though. Bends back on every landing. Breaks the prop.

Sorry I haven't responded...i just got my wisdom teeth taken out and I feel like MEGA crap. It feels like someone beat me from the inside of my mouth with a baseball bat. And, ofcourse, my mom left and kept my pain medicine bigtime hidden for well over 4 hours...so, i'm dying from pain. But, I'm not all that crazy about the Fun50. It looks like a full-fuse profile. I know that doesn't make sense....but, I mean, it's short between the TE and the TailFeathers. It's got an extremely thick airfoil. I had a profile for a little while, and didn't really like the way it flew....so, I'm moving away from the Kangke Fun 50. But thanks for the reply, I hadn't really seen much of it before now.

Saito 100 and a Fliton Extra 300 is a nice combo,or so I have read countless times, their Edge is aparently nice too. These look like more scale planes and from many reviews, I gather, that they imac and 3D well for their size.
You have to go to products to see the 330S..they have some other choices that may work for you also

JUGFLIER
I ran out of glow fuel t-roll mine and this resulted in knocking the front end off. While it was down for repairs I changed out the landing gear best crash solution I could have had. Now that is the ticket to just swap it out from the start with a small weight increase....I ran out of gas with a Satio 100 and then also swapped the motor out to a OS-91 for better gas milage, as that light plane did not need the 100 the 91 on a 15 x 4 apc is still plenty.
talk about slow knife edge flight and out standing harriers and elevators this is it....

I think that makes a lot of sense. A scale Edge sould do IMAC pretty well, and one that light with such big control surfaces should mean that it 3D's well. I've heard people talking about ballistic pull-out with the Showtime/Sait100, so I'm pretty happy with that choice...but the Inspire 60, Edge 60, Extra 60, or Showtime 50 should have about the same pull-out considering the weight similarities. I think I've decided to order the Showtime, mostly because it seems to be easier to put together. I like the Carbon Fiber pushrods on all of the other planes, and I've seen videos of nearly unlimited KnifeEdge with all of the Fliton planes...but a good friend of mine recommended the Showtime to me. He has an OS FS91 Surpass II on his, which weighs more and isn't as strong and has the same mounting dimensions. I'm glad I decided against the Magnum 91, even if it is a good engine, just becuase I decided long ago to stick to well-known and reputable brands. I'm going to break-in the Satio 100 with Master Airscrew wooden 14x8, recommended by the instrucitons. I was planning on running an APC 16x4W on the Saito 100 after the break-in period and a couple flights. I was also wondering if standard 3004 servos all-around (S3010 on rudder) would be good enough for that plane on 4.8V. Gas mileage isn't too big of a problem for me, because I'm used to flying hard 3D for 4 or 5 minutes then landing and letting my heart-rate go down a bit
. I then like to switch over to a warbird or sport-plane like the Spitfire or UltraStick. True, they're hard to take-off and land...and they're normally pretty fast, but it's a much easier and relaxing style than hard balls-to-the-wall 3D flying. I like flying 3D because, after going knife-edge snap to knife-edge into a high-alpha knife edge 10 feet from the deck into an inverted harrier pulled to a hover, transitioned into a torque-roll, then a ballistic pull-out with 3 consecutive snap-rolls on the upline....it gives me a feeling of satisfaction. My heart skips a couple beats knowing I could've just plowed a couple hundred dollars into the ground, but the satisfaction makes it worth it.
questions, should i go with a 16x4W or a 15x4W on the Saito FA-100 for the best hover and pull-out? and will 5 S3004's and 1 S3010(rudder) be enough to really handle this plane?

Many people have given up on the showtime due to having snapping tendencies, but a few love them and have little trouble getting good performance.Getting a full body 50 size plane that 3D's well is quite difficult and may require extensive set up practice and patience, this maybe frustrating to someone that wants to just get out there and fly,but it really is set up that will make the plane perform to your liking, providing you have chosen a good airframe and motor to start with.
