Default HYPE 3D

DOES ANYONE HAVE A "HYPE 3D"? IT IS IN THE AEROFLY PRO LINEUP, AND IS UNBELIEVABLY EASY TO FLY.
DOES IT REALLY FLY THAT EASY? I AM A MID INTERMEDIATE PILOT & HAVE YET TO REALLY HOVER. I HAVE A
MOJO WITH A OS 46AX & 12 X 4 PROP, AND STILL CAN'T HOVER. ON AEROFLY, THE HYPE FLYS A LOT EASIER
THAN MY MOJO AT THE FIELD.

RBBlack:

Yes RB, have it on mine. I have not played with the setup, expo., etc. bu have spent some time on it. Would not call it unbedlievely easy to fly, but not hard either. My problem with it is is not realistic in my experience. The larger sim. Edge 540 in red, white and blue is a much more realistic flyer, and will do it all, fairly easy. I find the actual mojo, UCD 60, www.rcxplanes.com yak 54 electric and the 73" QQ yak 54, expecially the 73" QQ Yak to be easier to fly than the stated sim model. Nice thing about the sim, you don't have to fuel it, or fix your goofs. The sim is a good place to go for basics, especially 3d. For some (me) stuff like rolling circles a few feet off the ground is expensive to learn without simulator prior training. I have soloed newbe's on their first day flying after getting off the simulator properly. I think thats neet. ENJOY

i have the hype with an OS-91 on a 15 x 4 APC. I have not flown it on the sim. Its seems like a big fun fly when you fly it as the wing is very thick and a thick wings makes for a very slow flying plane. Let me know what things I can help answer about the way the Hype flies......

I have A.F.P.D. and a Hype with OSfs90. The sim is very much like the real Hype in prop hang, K/E, and general 3d. The Hype is very easy to fly and easier to land than any trainer. Flies fine in 20mph + winds. If you set up a 15mph wind on the sim you can practice static rolls. In a real wind you can static roll the real Hype.
The only downside to the Hype is that it is VERY fragile. Hope this helps.
