Default Something Extra C.G.

I just bought a used SE at a flea market (no manual). I have just read the thread about moving the C.G. rearward for better KE. Could anyone please tell me what the suggested "factory" CG is and then also where you are at right now with your plane. I am an average flyer just getting my feet wet with 3D style flying. Have been flying a Magic and doing OK with that. Also, I was planning on powering this with a .46FX with a Macs Muffler. Will this be enough for good vertical? My other options for power would be an OS .50 FSR or a K&B .61. any recommendations? How about control throws? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Balance the plane at the top of the main spar to start. Move it back as you are more comfortable flying the plane. I had an Irvine 46 and switched to the 53 which was better for hovering. A good prop on the 46 you suggest will hover the plane though. I wouldn't suggest the 61 though. Control throws are set to max (about 45% in both directions) with 35% expo on elevator and ailerons with 25% on rudder. Go out and have a ball. The one used in my avitar has 400 or so flights.
