I started with R.C. when I was 8. I am thirty somethin now.
Here is a pic of my son. He is 16 months old. By the time he was born I had already built him 2 trainers.
I sure hope he takes to it like his dad!

This is pretty cool. I raced R/C boats when I was 7 started flying when I was 13 and am now 26. I did have to take a few years off once I moved out of home but I'm back in it full bore now.

It's great to see all the youngsters that are getting involved in the hobby. I remember those days fondly. Funny thing is, now that I've been flying for 25 years, when I tell people, they don't believe me. Some even say, but you don't look like you're even 25 (getting to be a rarity now). But the friends I've made from those past years all remember those young days. They are glad to have seen us (brother started at 4) all grown up and continuing to do well in the hobby. When the day comes and I have young ones, I can only hope they enjoy airplanes the way that I have. But as our father did with us, it’s up to them if they continue; I’ll just do the introduction.
Here’s the embarrassing part….a pic that’s not on my site. NO LAUGHING EITHER!
Take care and safe and fun flying.

Im another teen that flies. Im 16 and been flying for about 7 years. I have about 12 airplanes of my own. How many do you guys have? And what are your favorite ones ( make a list!)
Anyone junior flyers fly any kind of competition? I've flew in 2 Imacs already and go to IMAA sometimes, and the stuff out in Toledo. I also fly gliders.
What kinds of competition do you guys fly in and are you sucessful? Best placings? Anybody kids know anyother one else from this one? I dont. We should get to fly sometime. Favorite manuever? Mines the snap roll!

Hey thanks awood12345. I love that Edge, the thing flys sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo nice, especially with that DA power!! I have flown competition funfly for a couple of years with competition funfly planes, I don't anymore but I still love to fly those funfly's. Also one of my favorite planes is my 1/4 scale Dr1. I have been flying IMAC for about 3 years now and have a couple of wins under my bealt. This year I am moving up to the intermediate class. It is going to be fun and chalenging, plus My family and I are starting a ministry team with the IMAC circut. Here is another pic of our Edge.(Left=me, right+my friend Eric.)

Hey man I love the IMAC stuff and have won 3 competitions and 2 or 3 I'm not quite sure 2nd places, and 1 free style I came in 1st(notice my avitar), the other 3rd, 4th, or lower. Me and my dad both have many countless planes of all sorts of variety exept jets. I love doing snap rolls they are won of my favorite manuvers, but I like Blenders, Harriers, Harrier rolling circles, and really like doing sloooow rolls down the whole field. I just plain LOVE the hobby.

hovermaster,
I would love to fly something like that but i'll guess i will have to wait untill I can save the money. I do have a big plane on the build but its a 12ft lancaster bomber and that isn't exactly suited to 3D!
Anyway good luck in future comps, looks like you are on your way to TOC..............

Hey thanks awood12345. Well I didn't buy the plane or anything, my dad usally buys the stuff and we both have way too much fun with what we get. Hey even though the Lancaster doesn't 3D it is still a cool plane. I just won a 90 size F4U Coursair at a swapshop in Hamburg from a raffle ( split flaps, air powered 90 degree retracts= cool, and it flys nice). Yea I do hope to do good in IMAC this year and maybe go big???

everybody keep the planes flyin'! thats what this hobby needs: recirculation. i'm 14, just started less than a year ago and i'm 3din'! love this hobby (technically a sport now - some federal department declared it) Best part is designing planes! to see something you designed from start to finish hover or streak along at 110mph is the greatest!
hovermaster i'll be waitin' to see you in the AMA TOC reviews!!
keep up the good work guys...

Hi Getting high, I love flying in competitions and other funflys. I fly in the NCFFA funflys, and go to Control Line stunt (areobatic) competitions, and electric funflys, and 1 or 2 IMAA's a year.I been flying in the expert class in funfly for a few years now, and have tropies from it and from the nats, some first and so on. And a bunch in CL and trying to move up in advanced after this season. I have no clue how many total airplanes we have. we have lot the both me and my dad fly for 1/2A to G62. (we have a 35% giles for 100CC motor! but not finished yet!) For flying type I fly anytype of flying and anything that flies. I like 3D stuff alot and funflying, and areobatics. But I like taking out the gliders and oldtimers and just fly around up high. Favorite areobatic is probably hovering real low, harriers, flatspins, rolling and knife edge circles.
I think thats all your questions answered?
Hey Chris, thats soom cool pics of the Big edge and the Menace hovering!! You'll have to fly our DP Extra 330 sometime and put it though its usual paces! Did you get the big ultimate yet? That thing will be a monster.
Awood, what plane is that hovering in you avator pic? That must be a big lancaster bomber at 12'

Hi hovermaster,
Cool, the corsair sound nice. I guess the lancaster's many bombs will have to do, Muh hu ha ha! I will try to make it my mission for a big 3D plane next year.
Hi ryan,
The plane in the avitar is a edge 540 profile electric (more pics in my gallery). Heres a link if you are interested:
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...5&pagenumber=1
Andf yes its a big lanc, my club do a sort of recreation of the "Battle of Britian" at some shows here in the UK and have fighters and bombers all up in the air. I think we had 14+ four strokes in the air at one show and that sounded great!
