Default 3D Plane foe OS 1.60

I have an OS 1.60 in an UltraRc Katana which i will be retiring soon. I need some help figuring out where it should go next. I mainly fly my own special version of 3d which involves alot of near misses with the ground and my knees shaking a bit. I want a good quality airframe that will last a long time, is light, and 3d's very well. Cost is not too much of a concern as I want this to last. i would like the plane to be under 10lbs rtf or right around it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry about the mis-spell in the title, it's been a long day.

hi there

I have an OS160 in a Chip Hyde Tunnel Vision. This is a large profile which flies like a gigantic shockie.
It will do 3m dia K/E loops and everything else that you will ever want to do. I liked mine so much that I bought another one as a spare.
It remains untouched in its box and long may it stay that way!

hope this helps

I'm using my 1.60 in an OMP 80" Edge Profile.

Check it out...

Yeah the EF Yak with a 160 works out quite well.I found that getting this plane set up requires patience and experience, but pays off with impressive performance.

I liked the katana. Definately re-enforce the landing gear legs with a smaller carbon rod glued inside of them. Also go over all of the covering very well as this is my biggest complaint on the plane, i have flown it for about four months and the covering is separating and falling off in a couple of places. The first flight the covering on the top of the stab ripped completely off. Seal all of the leading edges with packing tape or clear ultrakote before you fly. Also set the cg further back than where the manual reccomends. I went back a full inch from the 6" mark they suggested.
