Huh?...........Saito Fa-125: 21.87oz O.S. 1.20AX: 22.82oz
2.20Hp 3.10Hp
I think maybe what you mean is 2strokes have better P/w ratio?
But a 4 stroke Torque Curve is Flatter ,2 strokes are Fine, but the modern 4stroke has come a long way..........an ya gotta love the SOUND!
You made a slight boo boo. You only listed the weight of the engine, not the muffler:

Saito 125 Total Weight: 24.69 oz (700 grams)

It's a marginal amount once you get to this size, but it is heavier. Although, I too much prefer a 4 stroke over a 2 stroke, and for all the same basic reasons; Sound, Efficiency, Torque Curve, etc... For a 3D plane, the only thing that trumps a 4 stroke, is brushless(excelent power to weight ratio while retaining smooth usable power). But, the outrageous cost of batteries for those systems is what keeps them out of most planes.

To those of you that agree that a gassser will destroy this delicate airplane...kudoes to you...cuz it will! I have the old YS-110 (W/O the direct injection) and it does exactly what I ask of it (Except drop..Its too much wing area!) That YS will pull people from their graves! But anyway....my 2 cents!

I have a YS110 in my X100 and a 120AX in my UCD60.
The OS pulls the pants off the YS but that supercharged sound is the best on the planet.
