Default Help out those desiring to learn 3D

Ok, I am by no means an awesome 3D'er, but I constantly get asked at the airfield about learning how to do it. I thought maybe we could start a list on some "hints" for our friends to learn.

My list

1st. learn to fly a sport plane with control throws set at max. This will teach you to fly a plane smoothly. Believe it or not, it takes a heck of alot of smoothness to make 3D'ing look good.

2nd. get a plane that has very light wing loading (profile, Eflight Cap3D etc..U Can Do.) and learn how to fly a plane that has such light wing loading.

3rd. Learn to prop an engine correctly for 3D. No speed props! On glow engines that usually means nothing more than a 6 pitch prop. Gasser are a whole other story due to the torque. I use 10 and 12 pitch props on my bigger gassers.

4th. Buy good equipment. Hi torque hi speed servo's with good centering make all the difference in the world. ( Hitec 5955's, 5985's, 5645's, JR 8611 and 8711, Futaba 9152's 5050's etc..)

5th. Don't be afraid to push your limits. If you don't, you will never get there. This is where a cheaper plane like a foamie, or really light electric comes in handy. They will teach you good 3D without fear of crashing a $4k plane.

Ok guys, let's see what can be added to the list!
