Does anyone know if there would be any major problem mounting an engine with the head in the 7 o'clock position ? I have a mvvs 77 and would like to run the tuned pipe down the belly.

You want to put an MVVS 77 with pipe on this thing? I have an OS 46 FX with pipe on mine and performance is phenomenal. I don't think there is any way that you could put that kind of power on it. I don't see why you couldn't mount it at 7 oclock and route he pipe that way-- mine is sidemounted and the exhaust runs through a header that takes it to the center line where the pipe is located.

I had this engine on a hobbico spectrum (which spec.ed a 40-46) with a tuned pipe and it flew great. The mvvs 77 is actually a physically 60 size engine bored out to a 77. Since Kysho specs using a 46 - 60 two stroke, I did'nt think it would be too overpowered. My concern (since I hav'nt actually seen one) was fitting the engine in the 7 o'clock position and having enough clearance to hang the pipe below the belly. I suppose that I could get a macs header of the right dimension.
What kind of prop and r's are you turning on the 46fx ?
