I would like to change to a "W" style prop from an APC 13x6 or MA 12x6 but I don't know what the pitch change would be needed if any. For the record, It is going on a Super Tigre ST 60. (.40 GP extra 300S.) I need better decent "braking" and a bit better vertical is always welcome! Thanks

A wide propeller will usually give you less RPM and not more. A wide blade will give you better bite. Maybe you need to go to a 5 pitch propeller.

You might try a 14x4w.
