Seen, more like own 2 of them, and they are great fun to have and play with. I also own many OMP profiles and this rates right up there with them, just a little less money. I have one on a Fox 46BB with a 12.25 X3.75 prop on it, and the other with a Saito 80 with a 13 X 6. They do everything well and balance easy with the factory placement of servos, battery and servos. I have dorked this thing so many times doing things too low and they keep right on going, I even caused one to cartwheel once in the grass when I did a knife edge on the grass dragging the wing and it caught on a high spot, oops. Put on a new prop and went right back up with no having to glue anything back together. the only time I have damaged one where it could not be rebuilt was when someone pulled out in front of me and my big 12 volt deep cycle battery went through the plane.

There's a guy flying one at my field and though I was skeptical about it at first it's proven to be a pretty good plane for the money. I should get one myself.

Got mine in the mail today, very impressed with the covering. (monocote) I will be posting pictures along the way. And at 16 years old building this by myself may take some time. So be pacient.

Started building mine last month and ran into a few issues. Experience with other arf profiles has taught that lite-ply engine bearers tend to be soft under the pinch of mounting bolts. Not that they fail, but the wood gets pretty deformed. Washers on the tank side of the fuse tend to suck into the wood pretty bad. Was also surprised at the open fuse interior exposed around the circular opening where the elevator joiner goes through the aft fuse. On a nitro plane this allows oil to get at untreated wood. No big deal on the left side of the plane, but the engine exhaust puts back a steady fog of oil smoke on the right that's likely to find its way into this opening.
Attach point for the main LG is surprisingly small with major size bays on either side--looks weak. Read a review on Hobby People's site where another modeler complained of this and beefed it up with 1/32" plywood. Haven't done so on mine cause I don't want to spoil the good looks. This is a relatively new model, so I don't know if anyone has much long-term use to determine how the fuse holds up to impromptu landings.
Have beefed up the engine bearers, closed in exposed fuse interior at the tail with 1/4" balsa stick and fuel proofed exposed wood. Will live with the main LG for now.
What's up with the noodle tail gear? Dropped my bare assembled airframe from no more than 18" high and the rudder hit the carpet. How has it been performing in the field? I'm tempted to replace it with something more substantial, but is this necessary?

First flight will be tomorrow. I will run a tank through the new 46 AX. Pictures will be taken, with or without a successful outcome.... but none in the Air quite yet, I will be flying solo.

When a thread ends like this... 4 months ago??? I guess the maiden did not go well. I just picked up one of these that was stuffed away behind some other planes at the LHS and am putting it together for a 6 week trip I am taking out of town... Got to have something to bring with me
Anyone else fly one of these as a "knock around" plane? Mine will be using an OS .55AX and an APC 13x4w w/ HiTech 425s all the way around... good cheep fun! I hope[X(]
