Well i wanted to replace my Funtana X 50 with something fun for the new year and as all of the really good planes that size are out of stock (Fliton 330S) I ordered one of these to see what I could make of it for a warm-up plane for my 30%s. Going to put a YS .63 FZS in it with better servos then it deserves. Thought it might be fun to really tweak it out and try and make a silk purse, so to speak. Anyboby got/seen one?? Came from Raidentech for $125.00 so if it's crap I'll just toss it or give it to one of the kids at the field. All inputs welcome. Don't worry about being gentle! LOL

Well I'm from Baltimore and don't miss that place at all! LOL Right now I'm in New York at my son's and ordered this thing thinking it might turn out to be a little dark horse or something I could mess with and make a lot better. Oh well, if the YS doesn't rip it apart on the first flight one of my landings might! LMAO Thanks Mike, I appreciate the input!

I never take any chance with cheap planes. I am a firm beliver of you get what you pay for. Too many people purchase based on price. I started buying QQ airplanes( just bought another this week), there are probably cheaper planes that will do just as good as job. Why do I buy the most expensive Yak ARF's on the market? Support for a good company and the people who make very high quality aircraft. Sure I paid more but also will get more. I paid somebody overseas to build my plane for a better wage. I hope that the person who built a plane that sells for 125 can actually put food on their table. How long does it take to build a plane at the factory? 8 hours? At that rate the builder earned about 2 dollars for a days work. I personally dont do it. Just another perspective and happy flying!

I have bought so many planes from "name" companies and the cheaper ones are just as good....May have to do a little more work or change parts...but I have done that everywhere. I just bought a Nitromodels 50cc Yak and it is very nice plane....

For someone who only buys really expensive QQ planes you sure have a lot of inexpensive imports in your gallery, mostly profiles. Only saw one 50 and it has an EVO 45 in it. So where's all of these HIGH PRICED QQ planes you fly?

I purchased that YAK 55" from Nitro and it is a fun flying plane. 3D's OK with an OS 70FL. I was surprised at the quality of the arf. The manual was terrible though. But for the price...
I bought a few of the cheap arf's to build up the hangar and now I know what I like and am starting to get some of the higher end stuff. I was real tempted by the Nitro 50cc and the 50cc engine from united hobbies. Plane and engine for less than $600. Can't beat that with a stick.

That's good to hear. I have 28 & 30% gassers with 50s in them but needed something small to warm up with at the field in the mornings. I've been using a FuntanaX 50 size but wanted something that would fly more like the larger planes I fly. This looked pretty good as far as the numbers went. I was after a Fliton Extra 330s but they are out of stock everywhere. We'll just have to see what this one does with the YS in it. Will the gear be high enough to hold a 13-14" prop?

Good, I run a APC 13X4W on the YS and it has mad power. I've run it in four different planes now all about 5 pounds and had unlimited vertical with all of them. Just hope I can fit the larger tank in there with the packing tape wrapped around it.

I guess all inputs welcome is really not the case huh? You said it in your first post. The planes in my hangar are just that, in my hangar. Ones used for teaching to fly and such. Aquired from different people.
Since you only want to hear what you believe, that is a great airplane- none better. You wont have any surface problems at all. The YS .63 will be perfect also. A 13x4w prop is what they like best with YS 20/20. For the price you paid at least there wont be any heartbreak after it disentegrates.
PS STRENGTHEN THE FIREWALL

Al, just to be fair... Here was the last comment in your original post.
That opens the door for harsh responses.

Why would it be crap, just because of the price? If the same plane was built in Europe or USA it would be 3 times more expensive, would it be better then?
I have had alot of cheap planes and only one expensive one, the JR Super Diablotin. All my planes have expired suddenly from crash so the expensive one did not last any longer than the cheap ones. The Super Diablotin was so fragile one could almost not touch it.
You plane sure looks good and my guess is it will also fly good if it is assembled light

My last plane that expired was the Harrier 46, it only costs 99$ in USA so it must be really crappy huh?? I loved that plane and it was the plane that tought me to hover. I had it for 1.5 years and flew it with four different engines, MVVS 49, Magnum 52 XLS, Magnum 91 Fs and magnum 91 XLS. Anyway, even though it is a cheap plane it is still great and flies well and is quite tuff and can take some abuse too

I guess I should have said "ALL COMMENTS ON SUBJECT AND NOT POILTICAL" I'll remember that next time Mike. In the meantime could you ask the other moderators to quit locking threads for the exact same thing that was stated here about wages in other countries. BTW I thought you were on Down-on-the-Deck???
