I was given a scratch built 40size pattern plane called the Bar Fli. It wasnt finished and what I have to do is cover it. But any info on this plane would be appreciated. I dont have the plans for it, so i dont know what kind of gear it has of the balance point. Thanks.

The Bar Fli was a Phil Kraft design & published in 1968, I believe. The original was powered with a 60, but a modern 40 would be about right as it was a small airplane.
You can obtain plans from John Ponds Old Time Plan Service, would give you CG location & maybe control throws, etc.
As I remember the designer stated it was a design experiment and did not perform as well as his Quick Fli design...but should be an good sport plane & certainly unique at the field.
