Default Prop recommendation for Saito 180 for 3D

Hello all.
Just finished a CG Obsession with a Saito 180. I will be running either YS20/20 or Wildcat 30%.
Can I spin an APC 18x6W prop? Anything better?

apc 18/6w is a great prop...it will give maximum torque with that combo however spool up will be slow. Depending on what you like and what you are used to, it could be good or bad for you...

I have the Saito 1.80 with the APC 18x6W. It's a great prop, but it puts big load on the engine and as another person said spools up slowly. I am probably going to switch to a wood prop such as a Vess or a Xoar.

anything except Master Airscrewd or APC, the Xoar's or NX (AirWild) are much lighter and spool up better. Stick with wood until you are used to the plane then you can go carbon if you want.

18x6 is the best size I found for the 180.

I too like Menz. Skorepa is also a good wood prop as are Bolly.

Those APC things weigh a ton in the larger sizes.

I have a twist 150 with a saito 180 on it. I am turning an 18 x 6 prop. Can anyone suggest another prop to slow it down a bit. 18 x 6 has plenty of torque and make the twist lift off the ground with about a 5 foot ground roll. I can fly the twist at about 1/4 throttle.
