Waiting for new HYPE 3D to arrive I am thinking of servos
to use. My Futaba's are gone now an it's little pricy to
pay 70EUR per piece. Can standard S3003 be employed
running at 6v ? They are rated at 4Kg on 6V.
Or should I bite the walet and get S9001 for rudder and elevator ?
Any comment appreciated.

I used 3001s all round with no problem. The Hype is meant to be flown low and extremely slow so I can't see any reason for having to spend more. Unless you can afford it that is.

I'd go for a bit more torque on the rudder and elevator. Try the Hitec HS625 on both - good speed of 0.15s and 6.5kg of torque. Similar price as a 9001 too. It'll make 3d alot more fun.

To be honest, I am pretty reluctant to use HiTec
servos again. Most of them I had, had problems
within very short time and my friend uses them
on 1:10 cars (625's) and keeps changing them.
Might be the case because usage on cars but
in car if it fails it's not going to finish as balsa scrap
Price is roughly the same for Futaba's so I think I'll stick to them.

Point taken! I've only got one Hitec Servo (HS645), its been fine so far, but only a few flights. You can't argue with Futaba Servo quality though

BTW...THE worst servo I ever had was
being sold under Carson name.
They were dirt cheap (7.90 EUR), actually same pricing
as Sanwa's which are light years ahead.
Me and few of my flying buddies took them for usage in SPAD's.....
Man, this cr*p could not get itself centered, kept
humming and after 4-5 flighst would just die.
Usually in flight....
I used nice, quality hammer to put them out of misery
