Default need some help with funtana x 100

i am wanting to get a funtana x 100 and i have a o.s. fs 1.20 to put in it would that be enough?? and what kind of servos should i put in it i am looking to do mild 3d and mostly sport (anything that works with futaba)

any suggestion?? thanks!!

There is a huge forum on this plane in this section already the has tons of advice. But just for grins i used the JR st125s metal gears.

Enough? Yes. Plenty? Yep. Over powered? Almost. Mine has a 108 on it and its fine, it wont rocket out of a hover like my gas powered Yak but it does very well.

I use Hitec 5625 metal gear servos on 6v regulated

I agree with wat Barra says. I have the X100 with a saito 125 with 16x4W apc on 15%. It pulls out of hovers slow, but it does do it. Looking back the YS 120 would have been the perfect match. A OS 120 will do ok, just dont expect fast pullouts.

barra did u use those all around? and do u use just a standard servo for throttle?

I have a digital on the throttle but it was one I had laying around from a (RIP) helicopter, its certainly not needed.

i used the hitec hs-81 for the throttle. it's a fast servo small light weight and does a great job you can find them on ebay super cheap to. i use this servo on all my throttle

got this form tower

SPECS: Transit Speed: 0.11 sec/60° @ 4.8V
0.09 sec/60° @ 6.0V
Output Torque: 36.10 oz-in @ 4.8V (2.6 kg-cm)
41.66 oz-in @ 6.0V (3 kg-cm)

Weight: 16.6g (0.58oz)
Mounting holes on-center: 1.31"(33.27mm

thanks for all ur help guys i have a pretty good idea on what kind of servos im going to get. CANT WAIT TO GET THIS THING IN THE AIR!!!
