Need help wih Gyro Set up for 3D flying
I have a YAK 54 with Saito 100, with a Futaba 190 Gyro (non-HH) on tail and elevator for 3D, I have not flown this set up yet, just bench testing. I can't get the gyro gains past 35% without vibrations causing uncontrolled actions. I have tried different locations, 3 pads of gyro tape, nothing seems to help. Anyone ever syccessfully used gyros in 3D plane ? Any suggestions would be great. I know people will tell me to pitch the gyros, so that suggestion is not needed !!!

Wish I could help but don't use gyros except in helicopters. I don't think gyros are used much for 3D flying. Its all thumbs and practice on sim and burning fuel.
