From: New Haven , MO,
I just got my Pizazz in the air and it sounds like the prop is missing a blade. The vib noise through the airframe is louder than the 2C engine!
Is my new engine vibrating this bad or is this normal?
All the props are balanced of course, but anything other than the lighter woods are just deafening.
Is anyone soft mounting their engines?
I'm thinking of putting the alum. strips under the rails and using some sort of rubber mounts between them and the eng.
Any ideas?

My son has a Pizazz with an OS61fx, swinging a APC 12 x 4 prop. We haven't noticed any odd sounds from it. We have other planes that make strange sounds though, profile planes etc.

The Pizazz has a unique resonance. With the 2-stroke it sounds like aileron flutter. With the Saito .91 it's much more agreeable. It's the plane, they all make a racket (i have 2). As long as your diag. rib braces are intact I would guess that the plane's fine.

I'm running an OS 61SF 2C on my Pizazz with a 14x4W APC. This made all the difference in the world. Now it pulls out of a hover with ease and the top speed is kept down.
