Default tank clunk place

For 3D and pattern, what is the right length of the clunk-tube inside fuel-tank. In other words, clunk near back-end of the tank or near tank-center.

I was told that the clunk has to be placed near the back of the tank. When you dive you normally close the throttle to idle so the engine doesn't use much fuel. This never caused any problems to me
