The UCD.

The quad set up on the Ultra is cool, however it does not seem to do some of the things the UCD, will do.

The stick is a 35 year old design, the UCD was designed last year, specifically for 3D.

we have both and they are great . both planes have a great flying envelope but fly very differently both crowd pleaser's and you should take both(joke)as ynot says one is an old design and one new. i certainly hope the ucan design can last as long as the stik. when you look at a list of planes people own funny but always a stik somewhere.

Hands down the UCD for 3D. While the Ultra Stick is a fun plane to fly the size of the control surfaces make it marginal for 3D. Quique Somenzini has a new set of articles about flying 3D in Model Airplane News. The first article delt with the Roller Coaster manuver and the current issue goes into plane set up why's and howz.
