The Magic Extra is a little ligher. I would be tempted to try it. Covering on these planes leaves some to be desired though. The Sig SE uses UltraCoat. Another choice would be the Hanger 9 Pizazz which is also a nice plane and covered in Ultracoat. My avitar is the SE built from a kit. My Pizazz bit it last weekend after 400 flights due to a servo going bad. Lots of fun with any of these. If you compared to ice cream it would be chocolate/vanilla/strawberry comparison. In other words personal taste. You can't make a bad decision with any of thses.

I have a somethin' extra and it is not the greatest 3D'er out there. I havent flown the magic extra, but I have seen the magic and I think it will be a little wilder than the SE. Just my 2cent

Are you against a profile?
If not then the Sledge 540 from morris hobies or the Ohio models edge 540 would take a .46FX and be balistic with awesome hovering harrier and 3D qualities.
