My Magic was capable of blenders in both directions. I normally go to an inverted left flat spin. Beware, as I've snapped the rudder twice in violent blenders, (no throttle, but picked up good speed on the vertical downline). No biggie, it will just flat spin to the ground, go pick it up, glue the rudder back on , and go fly somemore.
For some reason, my Magic will flat spin like a Frisbee upright but not inverted. Oh well. Its been sold and I've moved on to the next plane.
Just make sure your CG is aft enough. Hands off inverted should at least be level or better yet, slightly climbing. And of course, lots of control deflection.
Good Luck.

The sequence for a blender is:
1) Vertical downline aileron roll
2) Snap
3) Slide aileron toward oppisite side to flatspin
Upright to the left would look like:
Vertical down at idle full left aileron
Throw in full left rudder and up elevator (for the upright snap)
Quickly slide aileron to the right enough to flatten
My Magic does it great. Upright flatspins are better than inverted on my Magic too.
Does anyone Flatspin their Magic all the way to the ground? The upright flatspins are like a frisbee and I'm tempted but haven't done it yet
