Looks like I'll be getting the .55 AX. Thanks for the suggestion on the Tower muffler. For 15 bucks, it seems to be a reasonable investment to gain a few rpm. One of the decisive factors in choosing the .55 is the simplicity of the replacement.
The 55 is just a drop in job because the mounting for both engines seems to be identical.

I second the Tower muffler. I have one on one of my 55AX motors and it screams. Plus it sounds really cool with the Tower muffler. Omly downside is last time i looked they were still backordered. Maybe they have them in now. Who knows.
