I would like to know what would be a great first 3d plane. I'm currently flying a phoenix model dolphin with a 46 ax 11X5, I manage to hover it for maybe 3 to 5 second (but it required about 3/4 throttle), I'm able to harrier a little bit, do spin and inverted spin (could not manage to flatten out those)

What could you recommend? By the way I love bipe!
I was thinkng about the OMP boxxer.

a profile would be great omp makes one, swanyhouse makes one, tmp productions all have nice light "3d trainers"

mojo 40, or even better the mojo 60 if you have the gear.

best all around 3d plane out there.
the boxer is good, but you need a plane that can take the abuse of learning 3d, and having 2 wings doesnt help.

I agree the Mojo 40 is a great flying plane. If you have your rates set low it is a very stable and easy to fly plane.

The OMP Edge is also an excellent 3D trainer.

In the ARF version of the MOJO, what do I need to buy in "extra"?
Can I use S3004 or HS425BB as servo? (I'm gonna have a 6V 2100 MAH nimh rx pack) and I need to take off and land from a rough grass strip. Thanks

I am not sure what all comes with the ARF Mojo. My kit built mojo has really good ground clearance with the stock wire gear legs would be good for long grass. I put some MPI 3" narrow wheels on it. Standard servos would work fine on the 40 size plane even better at 6 volts.

Good luck means that Swanyshouse has been out of stock on the Mojo ARF for a while now and no clue when they will be back in stock. The kit is easy to build.

As this will be my first build, would I be hard or won't fly well if I do it?

The MoJo is a piece of cake to build. Open box, pour in CA, shake box, completed plane pops out.

OK, I might have skipped a few steps, but it really is a quick, easy build. Some folks can have it ready to fly in as little as a week. A typical builder could probably do it in 2 to 3 weeks. It's a very forgiving plane to fly and will tolerate minor alignment errors. Follow the build instructions and you won't have any problems. Also, take a moment to register at

.....mojo arf is no more, but it did come very complete.

the kit only comes w/ wood, plans,instructions, landing gear.

you need to supply control rods,connectors,horns, all bolts/nuts, wheels,ect...

the kit is verry easy, frames up quick, instructions are great. basically if you can read and look at a picture you'll have a mojo.

if its your first build, keep the covering simple, light color on top, dark on bottom. also simple schemes means less covering to buy.

you could have a mojo kit "arf'd" up for about the same price as the arf/shipping.maybe less.

What could be the ifference between the mojo 40 and the burrito? The second one claimed to be an entry level to advanced 3d and the mojo for intermediate to advence in 3d. But witch one to choose and why?

Or mayby a Tribute 36 with a little bit a mod I can put a 46ax in it?

I have a 47" OMP EDGE with an OS-50H helicopter engine. It flies and hovers great. I had an OS-46AX on it but it was not enough power. The heli engine is very light and very powerful.
